Celebrating a Successful IFMA World Workplace Conference in San Antonio! We’re still riding high after an incredible experience at the 2024 IFMA World Workplace Conference in San Antonio, where industry leaders, innovators, and facility management professionals gathered for three days of learning, networking, and inspiration. This year, we were especially proud to have our President & CEO, Brian Jordan, take the stage to present his session titled "An Asset Odyssey: A Roadmap for Successfully Navigating an EAM Implementation."
With a packed room of eager professionals, Brian shared insights and strategies that are essential for any organization embarking on the journey to implement an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) program. As many in the crowd know, managing a capital budget—often the result of major investments—can be challenging, especially when it’s driven by simple spreadsheets and subjective inputs that reflect competing priorities. For businesses seeking alignment with corporate strategies while optimizing the balance between risk and investment, EAM is the solution. However, it's a solution that many organizations shy away from, often due to the perceived complexity of the process.
Brian’s session tackled this head-on, providing a practical roadmap for navigating the challenges of EAM implementation. His approach focused on breaking down the seemingly daunting task into incremental, manageable steps—demystifying the algorithms and analytics that are vital for success. He emphasized that while EAM is complicated, it doesn't have to be complex.
Attendees learned best practices for obtaining, managing, and analyzing data to make smarter, more informed decisions, as well as the essential processes and practices that lead to successful deployment. By the end of the session, participants walked away with clear strategies for ensuring that their organizations could implement EAM programs that align with their goals, maximize ROI, and ultimately drive long-term success.
We were thrilled to see such a strong turnout and the level of engagement during Brian's presentation. It’s always inspiring to be part of a community of professionals who are so committed to advancing the field of facility management and the broader built environment. IFMA World Workplace is the premier forum for just that—exploring cutting-edge technologies, forging valuable connections, and expanding the skills necessary to tackle the evolving challenges of today’s workplace.
A huge thank you to IFMA for organizing this incredible event, and to everyone who attended Brian’s session. We’re excited about the ongoing journey ahead in EAM, and look forward to continuing the conversation with you all in the months ahead!
